Inmigration - What happens to third country citizens who were in Spain when the alarm estate was declared?

Already on the 25th of February 2020 the General direction of Inmigration, the General Border and foreigners police and the exterior department issued instructions according to which, they will acknowledge the corona virus as extraordinary reason to extend the travel visa of Chinese up to three months. That means, a Chinese who was staying Spain and who was holder of a two months stay visa, could extend it his stay up to three months.

When the alarm state was declared by the Royal Decree 463/2020 14th of March, it established on its third additional disposition that all administrative deadlines were to be suspended during the alarm state.

So what happens to all third country citizens that were holder of a stay visa that expires during the alarm state period?

The suspension of deadlines has been detailed by the General Direction of the Inmigration department, who has clarified that the expire date of the authorized stay will be suspended for all nationals of third country citizens who cannot return to their home countries due to the international sanitary emergency of coronavirus.

This means that if you are citizen of a non EU Country who travelled to Spain with a short stay visa and this visa expired during the alarm state period, you are entitled to stay until the alarm estate has finished.
